Who can apply?

Any patient organisation can apply, regardless of what language you speak and where you are located.

When do applications close?

Applications close on Sunday 14 August, 2022.

Does my presentation need to be in English?

Your presentation can be in your native language and does not need to be in English.

When is the live event?

The live event is scheduled for the beginning of December 2022. The exact date will be shared once confirmed.

Can one person from an organisation apply, or does it have to be a ‘team’?

Your team can be just one person, or many people, as long as you can meet the commitment required if you are chosen as a finalist.  Your team can also be made up of people from different organisations, as long as you are working on the same project.

What kind of projects are acceptable?

We understand patient organisations are at different stages of maturity and provide patient support in many different ways, so any project that involves patient support will be accepted. This could range from direct patient support (e.g. providing disease screening for rural populations) to policy-driven support (e.g. working with policy-makers to improve access to new medicines).

Who decides the winning team?

The judging panel is made up of experts across different fields. Winning criteria will be provided to you and your coach to guide your proposal development.

Does the project have to be implemented this year?

No, the purpose of the initiative is so that you can develop your project proposals further with your coaches and expert support. At this stage, your project should be an idea or a general concept.
